Albuquerque, NM – Three-Vehicle Wreck on Candelaria Rd NE Ends in Injuries

Albuquerque, NM (August 19, 2023) – At least one person was injured as a result of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in the Albuquerque area on Friday afternoon.

Just before 12:30 p.m. on August 18, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department assisted firefighters at the scene of a crash on Candelaria Road Northeast.

Police reports indicate that three vehicles collided on the roadway during the afternoon hours, causing major disruptions in traffic. The police and firefighters remained at the scene for more than an hour and 15 minutes as they worked to clear the road and investigate.

An unknown number of people were injured in the accident and had to be transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency care.

Officers are currently investigating to determine what caused this crash to take place.
