New Mexico High-Speed Collisions
The risk of a crash is much greater when you exceed the speed limit. Despite this fact, many New Mexico drivers continue to speed on the state’s roads and highways. Statistics show that there were 370 deadly collisions reported in the state involving speeding motorists in a recent two-year study. These fatalities made up nearly 35 percent of reported roadway deaths in New Mexico. Speeding increases your risk of a serious crash for many reasons. Two of the primary reasons include increasing the chance of losing control of a vehicle as well as increasing the overall distance required to come to a full stop behind the wheel.
