Albuquerque, NM - Wheelchair-bound Pedestrian Dies in Crash on 6th St

Albuquerque, NM (March 28, 2024) - On Tuesday, March 26, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Albuquerque area that afternoon at around 1 p.m. The deadly crash took place near the Love’s Travel Stop on 6th Street. The victim was identified as a woman in a wheelchair. 

The woman was at the gas station when she was hit by a blue Dodge truck traveling northbound. The driver reportedly turned into the parking lot when they hit the pedestrian. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary medical aid. The injured party was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. She was later pronounced dead. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
