Las Cruces, NM – 4 Hospitalized After Crash on Lohman Ave, 2 Pedestrians Critically Injured

Las Cruces, NM (January 30, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday, January 28, on Lohman Avenue in Las Cruces that left two pedestrians critically injured and five others hurt.

According to the Las Cruces Police Department, a series of crashes involving four vehicles occurred on Lohman Avenue, resulting in two pedestrians being struck on a sidewalk. The collisions involved multiple vehicles at an intersection, and in the final impact, two vehicles left the roadway and struck the pedestrians.

The victims, men aged 40 and 48, were seriously injured and transported to hospitals, with the older pedestrian airlifted to a facility in El Paso. 

Firefighters treated a total of seven patients at the scene, and four people required hospitalization. The driver who suffered the medical episode was conscious and able to speak to first responders before being taken to a hospital.

The crash remains under police investigation.
