Las Cruces, NM - Two Children Hurt in Balloon Accident on Red Mountain Cir

Las Cruces, NM (March 16, 2025) - On Saturday, March 15, two children were hurt in a balloon jumping accident in the Las Cruces area. The incident took place at the 4500 block of Red Mountain Circle that afternoon at around 3:40 p.m. A 3-year-old and a 10-year-old were reportedly injured in the accident. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. At this time, the circumstances leading to the incident have not been determined. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided. Local reports revealed that windy conditions could have been a contributing factor. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
