Ruidoso, NM – Man Dies in Head-on Collision on Mechem Dr
Ruidoso, NM (June 6, 2024) – A man was arrested in connection with a deadly head-on crash that occurred in the Ruidoso area on Tuesday, June 5. The incident was reported on Mecham Drive late that night, around 9:50 p.m. It was later revealed that 22-year-old Jadyn Mow of Nogal was traveling northbound on the roadway when he entered southbound traffic.
Mow collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 46-year-old George Fitzgibbon of Ruidoso. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Fitzgibbon suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. Local authorities reported that Mow was under the influence of alcohol. He was treated for injuries before being detained at the Lincoln County Detention Center. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available.
