New Mexico Auto Accidents
The vehicle fatality rate in New Mexico has long been a serious concern. There were 466 roadway fatalities reported on the state’s roads in 2022, and 122 of these deaths involved car crashes. The state leads the country in alcohol-related arrests, and it may come as no surprise that nearly 36 percent of the deadly crashes in New Mexico that year involved an intoxicated motorist. Bernalillo County experienced the highest number of deadly collisions in the state, with 143 reported fatalities. There are many common causes of vehicle collisions, and no matter what caused your crash, you should partner with a trained lawyer in order to pursue a claim for compensation.
The risk of a crash is present at any time. No one really plans to be hurt by a reckless driver, but it happens every day on New Mexico roads.
