Rio Rancho, NM – Man Hit, Killed Walking Dog on Terraza Blvd

Rio Rancho, NM (October 25, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, October 24, a man was killed while walking his dog in Rio Rancho. 

The deadly crash was reported on Terraza Boulevard in the Loma Colorado subdivision. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 5:53 a.m. after reports of a vehicle-pedestrian accident. A man was reportedly walking his dog when he was hit by a motor vehicle. 

The injured party was provided aid by attending medical personnel. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has not been provided at this time. 

No further information on the deadly pedestrian crash has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
