Deming, NM – Update – Driver Chunnan Huang Killed in I-10 Crash

Deming, NM (January 28, 2024) – The New Mexico State police confirmed that 58-year-old Chunnan Huang lost his life as a result of a truck crash that occurred on Friday afternoon in Deming. The police and firefighters were notified of the crash at around 1:00 p.m. on January 26.

According to law enforcement reports, Huang's 2021 Volvo commercial truck was traveling west on Interstate 10 when he became involved in a collision with a second commercial truck on the roadway. Huang suffered fatal injuries due to the accident and was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated by the New Mexico State Police.
