Las Cruces, NM – Pedestrian Airlifted in Crash at I-25 & Lohman Ave

Las Cruces, NM (March 1, 2024) – A pedestrian was airlifted after a collision in the Las Cruces area that occurred late on Monday, February 26. The crash was reported near the Interstate 25 and Lohman Avenue interchange. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched after being notified of a pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle. The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been determined. The injured party was airlifted to the University Medical Center of El Paso in critical condition. 

The area was temporarily closed as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. No updates on the condition of the crash victims have been provided. The identities of the involved parties have been withheld. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
