Yesco, NM – Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Crash at Grand St & Main St

Yesco, NM (April 24, 2024) – An officer on a motorcycle was injured after a vehicle collision outside of Yesco on Tuesday, April 23. The accident took place at the intersection of Grand Street and Main Street that afternoon. Local reports revealed that the officer was involved in a crash with a black passenger vehicle. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The injured party was later identified as Motor Officer Jared Herrington. Herrington was riding a motorcycle when he was involved in the crash, and he was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries after being provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. No other injuries were reported in the accident. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
