Las Cruces, NM – Critical Injuries in Bicycle Crash at Amador Ave & Motel Blvd

Las Cruces, NM (July 24, 2024) – A cyclist sustained critical injuries after a collision in the Las Cruces area on Tuesday, July 23. The accident was reported at the corner of Amador Avenue and Motel Boulevard early that morning, around 5 a.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. 

When officials arrived, they found a 59-year-old man lying on the roadway near a bicycle. The victim was unconscious and suffering from head trauma. The injured party was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to the University Medical Center of El Paso in critical condition. It is believed that the man was struck by a vehicle that left the scene. No updates on the conditions of the injured party have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
