Santa Teresa, NM – Injury Bicycle Crash at Pete V Domenici Hwy & Russell Blvd

Santa Teresa, NM (August 7, 2024) – On Tuesday, August 6, there were confirmed injuries after a bicycle-vehicle collision in the Santa Teresa area. The accident was reported at the intersection of Pete V Domenici Highway and Russell Boulevard early that morning, around 6 a.m., near Santa Teresa High School. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. 

One person at the scene suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. The circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been determined. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene, and tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting wreckage and other debris. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
