La Mesa, NM – One Killed in Crash on NM-28 at Snow Rd

La Mesa, NM (August 18, 2024) – On Saturday, August 17, one person was killed and three others were injured following a traffic accident in the La Mesa area. The deadly crash took place on New Mexico State Road 28, near Snow Roa,d that afternoon. Local reports indicated that two SUVs collided at the scene. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. One person involved suffered fatal injuries in the impact and was later pronounced dead. Three others were rushed to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been provided. The area was closed for several hours while local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
