Albuquerque, NM - Serious Injuries in Crash at I-25 & Coal Ave

Albuquerque, NM (December 4, 2024) - At least one person was hurt in an auto accident in Albuquerque early on Tuesday, December 3. That evening around 6:58 p.m., the crash was first reported on Interstate 25 NB near Coal Avenue NE. There were confirmed injuries at the scene, and emergency crews were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. 

The extent and number of the related damages have not yet been confirmed. The vehicles involved sustained significant damage in the impact, and tow trucks were needed to clear the wreckage and reopen the roadway to outside traffic. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
