Los Cerrillos, NM - Dust Storm Crash Results in Injuries

Los Cerrillos, NM (March 20, 2025)  There were confirmed injuries after a multi-vehicle collision outside of Los Cerrillos on Tuesday, March 18. The incident took place on Interstate 25 near NM-16. There was impaired visibility due to a dust storm at the time of the crash. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary legal aid. Three or more vehicles reportedly collided at the scene, but the exact circumstances leading to the incident have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present. It was later reopened that afternoon at around 3:20 p.m. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
