Albuquerque, NM (December 10, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday evening left at least one person injured. Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department, firefighters with the Albuquerque Fire Rescue, and emergency medical service technicians were all requested to the scene of the accident at approximately 4:20 p.m. on December 9.

Official reports indicate that an unknown number of vehicles collided on Mesilla Street Northeast. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway for approximately 30 minutes as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene. Delays were reported in the international district as crews worked to remove the involved vehicles. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for medical care. APD is currently investigating the incident.
