Albuquerque, NM – At Least One Hurt in Crash at I-40 & University Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (May 3, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries in the aftermath of a serious car wreck in Albuquerque on Friday, May 3. Early that morning around 7:53 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene on Interstate 40 WB near University Boulevard NE. The number and severity of the resulting injuries have not yet been determined. 

The injured parties were treated at the scene before being transferred to local hospitals by ambulance. At this time, the circumstances leading to the collision have not been provided. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked the scene. Tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting debris and reopen the area to outside traffic.
