Albuquerque, NM – At Least One Injured in Wreck at I-40 & San Mateo Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (December 11, 2024) – A serious auto accident in the Albuquerque area on Wednesday, December 11, required support from local paramedics. The collision occurred around 9:41 a.m. on Interstate 40 EB near San Mateo Boulevard NE. At least one person involved in the crash was hurt. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. At this time, the severity of the resulting injuries has not been confirmed. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. Ambulances were available to transport the injured parties to local hospitals for further treatment. Tow trucks were later dispatched to clear the resulting debris and reopen the roadway to outside traffic. No additional information is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
