New Mexico Car Accidents
A car crash can drastically alter your life in just a few seconds. New Mexico roads have continued to become more dangerous with each passing year, and statistics show that 2021 was the deadliest year for the state on record. In a recent year, the state reported a collision every 11 minutes on average. 46,786 car accidents took place in New Mexico that year, and these crashes contributed to 19,790 injuries and 392 fatalities. You may not really know the value of your claim at this stage of the process. During your conversation with the insurance adjuster, you might unintentionally make a statement that could potentially backfire on you. If you accept a settlement that is not enough to cover your damages, you are effectively giving up your ability to pursue additional compensation. This is why you should always put off talking with the insurer until you have discussed your case with a qualified personal injury lawyer. This can help you ensure that your settlement is enough to cover the full extent of your losses.
