In 2014, 337 fatal collisions were reported, resulting in 383 fatalities. In the state that year, more than 25,000,000 miles were traveled, and there were 18.4 fatalities for every million miles. There are certain things that need to be done after a crash to make sure you are able to achieve a full recovery. You always need to see a medical professional first thing. This can help establish a connection between your injuries and the accident itself, and it can also help you understand the true extent of your injuries and condition. You do not want to think you were not seriously hurt to only accept a subpar settlement from the insurance provider. At this point, you will be unable to pursue the full value of your claim if you later find out you suffered life-changing injuries.
This is just one way that you can be taken advantage of during the process of your personal injury claim. Working with a lawyer can help prevent you from losing out on deserved compensation. Instead of dealing with the insurer on your own, tell the adjuster to contact your lawyer instead.
