Tens of thousands of Americans lose their lives in high-speed crashes each year, and in the past 20 years, speeding has been linked to about one-third of all road fatalities across the country. A total of 12,330 people were killed by speeding drivers in 2021 alone. This suggests that every day, more than 33 people lost their lives in high-speed automobile crashes. Speeding greatly increases the risk of a serious crash by increasing stopping distance and limiting control of the vehicle.
There is only so much you can do to prevent a serious car accident. Most of the time, you will be injured by a careless driver who is engaging in some type of reckless behavior. In order to take the necessary steps to defend yourself, you must be certain that you have a firm grasp of your legal rights. A trained lawyer will be able to give you the much-needed legal guidance in order to pursue a strong case.
After a collision, you need to be able to partner with a trained attorney after first being treated by a trusted physician. By seeing a doctor, you can potentially link your new injuries to the crash itself.
