Albuquerque, NM - Car Crash Ends in Injuries on I-40 on Transition Ramp to I-25

Albuquerque, NM (April 2, 2023) - A serious car accident was reported to police in Albuquerque on the morning of March 27. Shortly before 12:00 p.m., crews were dispatched to the crash site on Interstate 40 to help those involved. 

Emergency responders were seen working at the crash site on the transition ramp from I-40 to Interstate 25. Two or more cars collided in the area, ending in injuries for the involved individuals. 

Several emergency responders were observed helping injured patients at the scene a short time after the incident took place. At this time, how the crash occurred is currently unknown. 

At least one person was seriously hurt in the crash and taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The crash site was active with emergency responders for an extended period of time on the morning of March 27, resulting in significant traffic delays. 

Authorities in Albuquerque continue to investigate the details of the accident.
