Albuquerque, NM - Car Crash Results in Injuries at I-40 & San Mateo Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (February 1, 2024) - At least one person sustained injuries following a car crash in the Albuquerque area on Thursday morning, February 1. At around 1:01 a.m., the collision was first reported on Interstate 40 WB near San Mateo Boulevard NE. There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the extent of the related damages has not been determined. 

The injured parties were provided aid by attending medical personnel before being transferred to local hospitals for further support. The vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage. The area was temporarily closed until tow trucks were able to remove the resulting debris.
