Albuquerque, NM – Car Crash with Injuries Reported on NM-47 near Valencia Dr SE

Albuquerque, NM (April 15, 2023) – At 8:50 a.m. on April 13, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on New Mexico Highway 47.

Preliminary crash reports indicate that vehicles collided on the southbound side of the highway during the morning hours. The incident prompted officials to close off a portion of the roadway near mile marker 30 at Valencia Drive Southeast.

Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris. Medics were called to care for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was injured in the accident and transported to an area hospital for further medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
