In the United States, speeding drivers kill over 10,000 people each year, accounting for over 25 percent of all traffic fatalities on average. The issue is even worse in New Mexico, where over 30 percent of fatal collisions involve speeding motorists. Speeding is a known careless action that puts everyone at risk.
