New Mexico Car Crashes
You need to be ready to take action after a car accident. Every year across the state of New Mexico, catastrophic auto accidents cause tens of thousands of injuries and hundreds of fatalities due to negligent drivers. In 2022, 466 traffic fatalities were recorded in the state. A total of 122 of these fatalities involve auto accidents, and statistics show that 180 people died as a result of drunk driving in the state that year, making up around 36 percent of these deaths. Bernalillo County has the highest number of traffic fatalities in the whole state with 143 reported victims.
A car crash can happen at any time and leave you with life-threatening injuries. You need to be prepared to take legal action if you are unfairly injured due to the recklessness of another person on the road. Unfortunately, most crash victims are unfamiliar with the legal process, and that means they do not know how to get the compensation they are owed for rightful compensation. You need to consult with a trained personal injury lawyer who can help you navigate the personal injury claims process and ensure that you are able to recover maximum compensation for your injuries and other damages.
After a crash, the insurance company will send an adjuster to make contact with you. The representative will ask a lot of questions about the accident. While they may seem like they are on your side, their real loyalty is with the insurance provider. This means they will try to cheat you of your deserved compensation in any way they can. You need to have a lawyer handling your case to make sure you do not say anything that damages your claim.
