Distracted driving is growing rampantly across the United States, contributing to more and more car accidents with each passing year. When drivers look down at their phones, and not at the road, it is no wonder that they become a serious threat to everyone. In New Mexico, driver distraction is a major problem that leads to a significant number of deadly auto accidents each year. New Mexico is among the worst states in the nation for distracted driving collisions, with statistics showing driver inattention is the cause of nearly 36 percent of road fatalities in the state. You can travel the length of a football field in the time it takes to send a single text while traveling at highway speeds.
When a driver causes a serious collision, it is their obligation to accept responsibility, not the victim's. If the victim decides to file a personal injury claim, the driver of the vehicle that caused the collision may be held accountable for their injuries and other resulting damages. However, pursuing a personal injury claim can be much harder than it seems. You should not leave your recovery to chance during this difficult time. it's normal for crash victims to be unsure about where to start the healing process. You should take all necessary steps in collaboration with an experienced attorney to maximize your chances of getting full compensation.
