Albuquerque, NM – Collision at I-40 & 12th St Results in Injuries

Albuquerque, NM (January 4, 2025) – On Friday, January 3, there were reported injuries following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The accident occurred at around 5:35 p.m. on Interstate 40 WB near 12th Street NW. At least one person involved suffered injuries in the collision. 

The injured parties were treated by attending medical personnel, and those requiring additional treatment were later hospitalized for treatment. The severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the site of the resulting wreckage and other debris. No additional information on the accident is currently available. Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident into the cause of the crash, and more updates will be released as the investigation continues.
