Albuquerque, NM – Copper Ave Scene of Injury Wreck near Third St

Albuquerque, NM (September 24, 2023) – A car crash happened in Albuquerque on the afternoon of September 23. Emergency responders were dispatched to the crash site at around 4:52 p.m. after receiving reports concerning the incident on Copper Avenue. 

Responders including EMTs, fire crews, and police officers were sent to the crash scene on Copper Avenue near Third Street. Reports from authorities show two vehicles collided in the area for reasons still being determined by local law enforcement. 

One or more people were hurt in the collision, however, what caused the crash to happen is still being investigated. Injured victims were treated and taken to the hospital as necessary, however, the extent of their wounds has not been reported. 

The road was blocked for an extended time period, resulting in significant delays in traffic. Local drivers were forced to use alternate routes for the time being. 

Police in Albuquerque are still working to figure out how the collision occurred.
