Albuquerque, NM - Critical Injuries in Motorcycle Crash on 4th St

Albuquerque, NM (August 31, 2024) - There were critical injuries after a motorcycle accident in the Albuquerque area on Friday, August 30. The crash took place at the 4300 block of 4th Street NW, near Griegos Road, that afternoon around 1 p.m. Local reports indicated that a motorcycle and vehicle collided at the scene. 

It was later reported that a motorcyclist was headed southbound on 4th Street when they collided with a passenger car turning westbound onto San Clemente Avenue NW. The sedan sustained significant damage to the back end. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the injured rider was transported by ambulance to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition. The rider was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and sent over the sedan. No further information on the incident is currently available. However, local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing crash investigation.
