Albuquerque, NM – Driver Hurt by Truck Falling Off Trailer on I-25

Albuquerque, NM (August 3, 2024) – On Friday, August 2, a driver was hurt after they were struck by a detached trailer in the Albuquerque area. The crash occurred on Interstate 25 SB near Alameda Boulevard that afternoon around 12:45 p.m. Local reports indicated that an unoccupied pickup truck was being hauled on a trailer when it came loose. 

The dislodged pickup truck hit a southbound car, causing the latter to leave the road where it hit a speed limit sign. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The injured driver was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress, and more information will be provided as it continues.
