Reckless Driving Crashes in New Mexico
We see drivers looking down at stop lights and even while driving almost every day, and it is quite shocking how prevalent distracted driving has become across the country. Recent studies have found that a large number of drivers admit to using their phones while operating a motor vehicle. New Mexico has one of the highest rates of distracted driving-related deaths in the nation. In fact, driving while intoxicated and driving are both common behaviors on the state’s roads, and statistics show that nearly 40.75 percent of collisions in the state involve a distracted motorist. This figure is nearly five times the national average.
