Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Auto Accident on Coors Blvd near Arenal Rd

Albuquerque, NM (February 29, 2024) – Late on Wednesday night, February 28, there were fatal injuries reported in a car wreck in Albuquerque. The accident took place on Coors Boulevard between Arenal Road and Blake Road late that evening. Local reports indicated that a red Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed leading to the crash. 

The pickup collided with another vehicle at the scene. The other driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of critical injuries. They were later pronounced dead. 

The driver of the pickup reportedly smelled of alcohol. A test found that the motorist blew nearly double the legal alcohol limit. No additional information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
