New Mexico Speeding-Related Crashes
Tens of thousands of Americans lose their lives in high-speed collisions each year, and during the previous 20 years, speeding has been linked to around one-third of all road fatalities nationwide. A combined 12,330 people died as a result of speeding drivers in 2021 alone. This indicates that, nationwide, about 33 persons died in high-speed collisions every day that year. Driving at a high speed decreases vehicle control and extends the stopping distance. These two greatly increase the likelihood of a disastrous accident.
