Albuquerque, NM – Injuries in Crash at I-40 & Rio Grande Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (April 23, 2024) – There were reported injuries following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area on Monday, April 22. The collision took place on Interstate 40 EB near Rio Grande Boulevard early that morning around 8:04 a.m. At least one person involved in the crash was hurt. 

At this time, the number and severity of the related damages have not been confirmed. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. Those requiring further treatment were transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The roadway was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the resulting wreckage and reopen the area to outside traffic. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
