Albuquerque, NM - Injuries in Hit-&-Run Crash at Coors Blvd & Central Ave

Albuquerque, NM (May 24, 2025) - On Thursday, May 22, a pedestrian was critically injured after a hit-and-run accident in the Albuquerque area. The crash took place at the corner of Coors Boulevard NW and Central Avenue NW late that evening. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of the victim lying on the roadway. 

It was later revealed that the injured party was traveling on foot when they were struck by an oncoming motor vehicle. At-fault driver fled the scene without providing any assistance. The injured party was later treated by attending medical personnel before being transported by ambulance to University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities were present. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, and more information will be provided as it continues.
