Unfortunately, being left with serious injuries can affect your ability to work, prevent you from spending time with your family, and leave you in overwhelming pain. Regrettably, there are thousands of instances where people are left with severe injuries as a result of accidents caused by negligent drivers. Some of the most common actions that lead to vehicle collisions across our state include:
- Driving While Drunk: When drivers do not operate their vehicle while sober, it can have severe consequences. Unfortunately, drunk driving can impact a driver’s judgment and their ability to remain in their lane. As a result, drunk and high drivers are more likely to crash into others.
- Running Red Lights: Blowing through a red light or passing a stop sign at an intersection can lead to a devastating accident. Unfortunately, we see this take place far too often here in New Mexico.
- Distractions: With so many people utilizing technology, it is no surprise that we are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of accidents that take place due to distractions. We see many accidents take place as a result of drivers who are texting or talking on their phones. Other distractions that lead to accidents include changing the radio or even eating.
