Year after year, more people are being killed as a result of excessive speed on American roadways. Speeding was a factor in 29 percent more reported traffic fatalities in 2019 compared to 2018. The following year in 2020, the number of speeding-related fatalities increased by roughly 7.9 percent. This is the highest level reported nationally since 2007.
Your health and well-being are what matters most following a serious car crash. If you suffer severe injuries, you need to visit the doctor or the emergency department right away. Some injuries have delayed symptoms, meaning you may not immediately notice them. For example, minor traumatic brain injuries or even damaged spinal discs may not be too noticeable initially. Unfortunately, your condition will likely continue to worsen as time goes on. This is why it is crucial to see a doctor immediately if you sustain injuries in a car accident.
In any personal injury case, you should not represent yourself. You will probably get a phone call from the insurance provider after the crash. They may seem like they are on your side, but it is probably just an attempt to take advantage of your lack of knowledge of the legal system and get you to accept a subpar settlement.
