Albuquerque, NM - Injury Collision at San Mateo Blvd & Candelaria Rd

Albuquerque, NM (December 28, 2023) - On Thursday, December 28, a serious crash with injuries took place in the Albuquerque area. The accident occurred at around 8:31 a.m. at the intersection of San Mateo Boulevard NE and Candelaria Road NE. At least one person involved in the crash was hurt, and emergency responders were dispatched to render aid to the injured parties. 

At this time, the severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting debris and reopen the roadway. No additional information on the accident is currently available. Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
