Albuquerque, NM (August 5, 2023) - In the late afternoon hours of Sunday, August 5, a car crash was reported to police in Albuquerque. The accident happened at around 4:42 p.m., sources said.
The Albuquerque police and fire rescue crews went to the crash site shortly after it occurred in order to help the people involved. Responders were observed at the scene, located on Candelaria Road near San Pedro Drive.
At least one person suffered injuries in the wreck that happened for reasons still under police investigation. The roadway was closed for a significant time while emergency crews worked in the area.
Local drivers were asked to use alternate travel routes while police and paramedics worked at the wreck scene. Police in Albuquerque are still working to investigate the details of the incident.
