Albuquerque, NM - Major Injuries in Collision at I-25 & Sunport Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (October 31, 2024) - At least one person was hurt following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area on Thursday, October 31. The crash was reported on the Interstate 25 NB off-ramp near Sunport Boulevard SE that morning around 1:56 a.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties. 

The crash victims were provided aid by attending medical personnel. Ambulances were available to transport the involved parties to local hospitals for further support. The circumstances leading to the collision have not been determined at this time. There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the related damages have not been reported. Local authorities advised nearby drivers to avoid the scene and to prepare for significant delays. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
