High-Speed Collisions in New Mexico
Tens of thousands of people die in crashes across the United States each year as a result of speeding, which is still the leading cause of traffic deaths nationwide. Based on the most recent crash statistics, around 6 percent of fatal collisions in New Mexico in 2016 involved speeding. Speeding increases the risk of being involved in an automobile accident and increases the possibility of sustaining severe injuries in the event of a collision.
Car crashes are a reality for many people in New Mexico. There is always a chance of suffering serious injuries while traveling on the road, and no one ever plans to be involved in a life-changing crash. However, it is important to be prepared if you or someone close to you is unfairly hurt by a reckless driver. This can mean the difference between a full recovery and a lifetime of issues resulting from your accident. With so much on the line, you should make sure that you contact a trained car crash lawyer who can step in to ensure you are able to achieve a full recovery.
The insurance provider will send an adjuster to contact you after the crash. The adjusters will be friendly and even position themselves as if they are on our side. However, this is far from the case. The adjuster is ultimately looking out for the interests of the insurance provider. The insurer wants to make sure that they can give the smallest settlement offer possible, and it will even deny a valid claim if you say something that accepts blame for the crash. Instead of dealing directly with the insurer, you should have the adjuster contact your lawyer.
You should not try to pursue your claim for recovery on your own. You need a trained Albuquerque car crash lawyer helping you every step of the way. The team at Will Ferguson & Associates is here to make sure that you are able to make informed decisions about your future, and we will fight to ensure that the person responsible is brought to justice.
