Albuquerque, NM – Major Injury Wreck at San Mateo & Gibson Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (January 3, 2025) – On Friday, January 3, there were reported injuries after a collision in the Albuquerque area. The accident occurred at the crossing of San Mateo Boulevard SE and Gibson Boulevard SE that afternoon around 12:57 p.m.  At least one person at the scene suffered injuries in the wreck. 

At this time, the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency crews were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. Ambulances were available to transport the injured parties to local hospitals for further treatment. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
