Albuquerque, NM - Major MVA on I-25 near Coal Ave

Albuquerque, NM (August 6, 2023) - On the evening of August 4, a serious car wreck was reported to police in Albuquerque. Shortly before 9:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to the scene of the incident to help the individuals involved and investigate the circumstances of the accident.

At this time, the cause of the collision is still under local law enforcement investigation. Emergency responders were seen helping at the wreck site, located in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 near Coal Avenue South East. 

One or more individuals involved in the crash were in need of emergency medical attention. Paramedics rendered aid at the scene and transported those in need of further care to the hospital by ambulance. 

Currently, police in Albuquerque continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
