Riding a motorcycle is a feeling unlike any other, but it does not come without risk. Motorcyclists are well aware of the dangers of riding a bike on the open road. In New Mexico, an estimated 2.3 percent of crashes and 14.2 percent of deadly collisions involve motorcycles. The state has a considerably higher rate of fatal motorcycle crashes, and there were 38 motorcycle fatalities reported in the state in 2015. That figure made up nearly 13 percent of traffic fatalities in New Mexico that year. Nearly 80 percent of motorcycle crashes result in death or injury, and you need to be ready if you are unexpectedly hurt in a car accident.
It is an unfortunate reality that even minor motorcycle crashes can result in life-changing injuries. When you are involved in this type of accident, it can be completely devastating to your way of life, and you may have been left with severe injuries as a result.
