Albuquerque, NM – Motorcyclist Dies in Crash at Montgomery Blvd & Washington St

Albuquerque, NM (May 6, 2025) – On Saturday, May 3, a motorcyclist was killed following a two-vehicle collision in northeast Albuquerque. The fatal collision took place at the crossing of Montgomery Boulevard NE and Washington Street NE early that morning. Local reports revealed that a motorcycle and a Nissan SUV collided at the intersection. 

The impact caused the Nissan to spin out in the westbound lanes of Montgomery Boulevard, and the motorcyclist crashed into a brick display wall at the southeast corner. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving aid from attending paramedics, the injured rider, a male, sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the accident. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities were present. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
