Albuquerque, NM – Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-&-Run at Odelia Rd & Edith Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (August 30, 2023) – One person was killed following a hit-and-run crash in Albuquerque on Wednesday, August 30. 

The deadly accident took place at the corner of Odelia Road and Edith Boulevard just after midnight. It was reported that a BMW sport utility vehicle rear-ended a motorcycle. The driver dragged the bike for roughly half a mile along Broadway Boulevard. The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle. 

The injured rider was transported to a local hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. It was later revealed that the three people inside the SUV fled the scene on foot and abandoned the vehicle. The vehicle had reportedly been reported as stolen the previous day. 

No further information on the deadly accident has been provided, and charges are currently pending. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly motorcycle accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
