Albuquerque, NM – Multiple Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-40 EB 

Albuquerque, NM (September 1, 2025) – Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a serious multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 eastbound Sunday afternoon, August 31. 

The collision happened near mile marker 177 in Albuquerque and left several people with injuries. Officials confirmed that the crash occurred around 3:12 p.m. Multiple vehicles collided, though the exact number of cars involved has not yet been released. 

Paramedics treated several individuals at the scene before transporting the injured to local hospitals for further care. The extent of the injuries is still being evaluated. Albuquerque police officers responded quickly to secure the area and assist emergency crews. Tow trucks removed damaged vehicles from the roadway as the investigation got underway. 

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash, but officers continue to review the circumstances.
