Albuquerque, NM - One Killed in Auto Accident on McMahon Blvd & Bandelier Dr

Albuquerque, NM (June 17, 2023) - Police in Albuquerque are currently investigating a fatal collision that happened just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16. Police were informed of the incident that involved two vehicles that collided for reasons still under police investigation. 

Officials say the crash happened when a gray BMW was headed west on McMahon Boulevard near Bandelier Drive. It collided with a Chrysler headed east that was attempting to turn into the northbound lane. 

A passenger inside the Chrysler was ejected from the vehicle during the collision, according to reports from authorities. They were transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition. 

The BMW driver was pronounced deceased on-site due to the injuries they sustained in the accident. Authorities in Albuquerque are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
